In school we are taught that when we write an essay we have to say what it is about, why you are writing about it, why its important and then repeat what you just wrote in a minutely different way. And now we have a whole line of (mostly US YouTubers) who follow this process in their video making. That's all well and good for essays, but for YouTube videos, it doesn't work, its just effing annoying. Urgh! The fact of the matter is that, I decided to watch a YouTube video because I found the topic interesting (and I couldn't give a damn as to why its important or why you're talking about it) or that I need to find out how to do something. I could just skip ahead, but then I will have to rewind a bit in case I actually missed something of material importance.
